Review of Salzburg’s fortress dinner and Mozart concert, with menus, views, seating, practical tips, accessibility, and value advice.
“What a nice way to end Christmas Day. Beautiful nighttime views of the City, an enjoyable meal, and a great musical performance. A quick walk from the heart of the old town and you zip up the funicular to the fortress. You’re greeted with a view of the Dom and Christmas market from above. The dinner itself was an 8/10. The food was simple and didn’t seem particularly Austrian (beef/dumpling soup, turkey/stuffing roll with porcini mashed potatoes, and chocolate mousse - vegetarian option of porcini raviolis) but was well flavored and enjoyed by all. The only downside was with early sunset there were no views from the restaurant. After dinner…”

Review of Dubai’s 1.5-hour dhow dinner cruise with buffet food, Creek views, live music, Tanoora dancing, and practical booking tips.
“The boat ride was nice and it was good weather with a warm breeze. The food tasted good. Mostly Indian with salads and some sweet pudding and fruit for dessert. Not as many buildings had lights as I expected, so not many pictures were taken. The live entertainment was one guy doing the dancing. He started in a Panda bear suit and Tanoura spinning dance with lights was the best. He gave people a chance to take pictures with him and he encouraged some women and children to dance with him. The music was being played over the speakers by someone’s phone. For the value it was good. 100 AED…”
